COURSE DESCRIPTION: The goal of this class is to cultivate, reinforce, and build on
what is being taught at home: faith, virtues, and good character. The children will learn
through age-appropriate and engaging instruction, read-alouds, songs, activities, and
Scripture memorization on living a Biblical & virtuous life, while encouraging the building
of good character. Some of the resources that will be used in this class over the school
year will include: The Character Builder’s Bible: 60 Character-Building Stories from the
Bible, The Children’s Book of Virtues by William J. Bennett, The Children’s Book of
Faith by William J. Bennett, A Child’s First Book of Virtues by Emily Hunter, Biblical
Virtues and Values – Beginner’s Character Development Journal, 77 Memory Verses
Every Kid Should Know.
