COURSE DETAILS: The purpose of this class is to help students learn and reinforce
their math skills through hands-on-activities, problem-solving, and games. Concepts
covered will be counting to 100 by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s; using number lines,
understanding the concepts of addition and subtraction, understanding the concepts of
halves, quarters, thirds and fourths, identifying shapes, measurement, telling time, and
simple transactions with money. Activities will include playing games such as uno,
shape and number scavenger hunts, math bingo, action addition and subtraction
games, guess my number, and playing store. Activities will be geared to the skill levels
of the students in the class.
