Supplies Needed: Pencils with eraser, 3 ring notebook, 2 different colored highlighters.

Homework: Listening to their cd at home is needed and practicing and memorizing songs and movements and lines. Students and their parents are responsible for providing their own costumes, (with assistance from instructor), and assist with obtaining props.

COURSE DETAILS: Vocal Studio Junior will encourage children to learn to sing correctly, develop their ear, learn harmonies, and grow their vocal gifts and talents for the Lord. Students will learn the musical Esther-Ordinary Faith, A Kids' Musical for Such a Time as This, written and created by Kathie Hill! 

In the musical, a fictional scribe, Zerox, details Esther becoming queen through God's intervention in Haman's plot and Mordecai's appointment as the king's adviser. And, as Zerox tells the story, he experiences the testimony of Esther and develops his own faith in God and His grace. All this is done through gritty songs and witty dialogue between these characters and the residents of Susa, the "Susans." Songs like "God Is in Control," "The Eleventh Hour," "While You Sleep" and "In That Moment," will help children understand the sovereignty of God and the confidence we can have in trusting Him with the greatest of problems by displaying our own Esther-Ordinary Faith!

Students will also learn rhythmical movement, simple choreography, and some basic drama skills for their performances. Prepare to have fun and make a joyful noise unto the Lord! Students will each receive an Esther-Ordinary t-shirt to wear for all performances.
