Tom is a fourth-degree black belt in Kenpo Karate with over 28 years in the system. He has
taught for the Washington State Youth Self Defense Academy at Life Center in Tacoma,
Washington, Cascade Christian School, and operated a karate studio as Peterson's Kenpo
Karate Academy in Puyallup Washington as well as private self-defense classes. Tom is a
pastor, counselor, Bible teacher, and chaplain with a heart for making disciples for Jesus. With
our slogan “Warriors for Christ," our focus is on Christian values and learning important skills
that will benefit your child throughout their lifetime.
Tom has over 33 years working in the medical field as a Paramedic on ambulances and in an
Emergency Department, is a certified CPR and First Aid Instructor, and holds several degrees
including a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies, A Master of Science and Ph.D. in Counseling
Psychology from Christian Universities.
